Karm sanyas is that where one engages in devotion with the mind; however, unlike karmyog, he does not perform the prescribed ritualistic actions of the Vedas. Such a karm sanyasi does devotion or bhaktiyog, which results in God-realization. And since he does not do any karm, the question of bondage due to the resultant reaction of karm does not arise.
Thus, like the karmyogi, the karm sanyasi is also praiseworthy, according to the teachings of the scriptures and the Saints.
